What is the Libertarian FAQ?Submit a Question Answer a Question Libertarian FAQ answers frequently asked questions about the political philosophy of libertarianism and the economics of the free market, i.e. capitalism. This is a wiki site which means that anybody can add questions and any libertarian can aswer or edit questions. The idea is to create a huge easy-to-search database of question/answer-articles about every aspect of libertarianism and the free market in a way quite similar to the approach of the successful online encyclopaedia Wikipedia (http://www.wikipedia.org). This is an experiment and depending on how it goes this may remain a wiki site indefinitely, or we may transform it into a stable site when the question/answer database is large enough. Our mission is to clear up the misunderstandings of and prejudices about libertarianism and the free market such as 'doesn't the free market lead to oppression of the poor, exploitation of the workers, a polluted environment, an imperialist foreign policy to create new markets, big business dominating our lives, mind-numbing consumerism, Californian energy crises, and so on?' As a result we hope to show that libertarianism and the free market are ideas that have much more to offer to many more people than is often thought.
